Golf in Isla Canela

The 18 hole, par 72 links golf course on the island was completed in 1994. It is well established and popular with residents on the island, visitors and holiday makers alike. Set in a beautiful landscape dotted with olive, orange and eucalyptus trees, it offers challenging and entertaining play on its gentle sloped dunes.
The attractive club house caters to every golfers need. There is a permanent golf school as well as a golf shop, a bar and a restaurant. There is also a swimming pool and two bowling greens next to a beautiful terrace on which to sit and relax.
There are also plans for a second golf course to be built on the island, close to the first one. It will be crafted in the same style and offer all the challenging and rewarding golfing that visitors to Isla Canela golf course have come to know and to expect.

Marina
The Isla Canela Marina is a modern fully equipped leisure marina, opened in April 2000. It has all the facilities needed for comfortable yachting and boat maintenance. It offers perfect shelter while only minutes away from the open sea, making it a unique location from which to base sailing excursions around the Iberian peninsula.
Quayside along the harbour there are shops, bars and restaurants catering to residents and mariners alike. Across the bay from the marina stands the small fishing village of Punta del Moral. From here the fishing boats depart every morning and return in the afternoon laden with their catch. This rustic village is home to quite a few fish restaurants where you may enjoy delicious meals prepared from the freshest ingredients.
The marina currently has 230 moorings for boats up to 12 metres. There are plans under way to shortly double the capacity of the marina and allow for 400 moorings for boats up to 18 metres. The Marina also offers a fully equipped modern shipyard area for repairs and yacht maintenance.
There is a yacht club in the marina that organises various events like sailing, canoeing and jet-ski excursions, courses and competitions. The also organise boat sales and rentals.
